Youth in informal settlements and rural communities are often confronted with multiple socio-economic challenges. Even in such vulnerable and marginalized environment, young people have recognized their role in mobilizing their communities to address their needs, and drive social change. Garden of Hope Foundation seeks to tap into and nurture the leadership skills and abilities of young people, with the aim of empowering them to become change-makers in their communities, drive development agendas with different stakeholders at local and national level and actively participate in and initiate development initiatives in their communities. Leadership development encompass training for leadership skills development, and supporting youth-led social change initiatives at the school and community level.
