My name is Haggai Imbiaka, born and bred in Kibera a fact that elicited a passion of reaching out to marginalized and vulnerable people. Previously I have worked for an organization called Swahiba Youth Networks that is involved in reaching out to girls in Kibera through providing for them education, counselling and monthly supply of sanitary towels.
I have a Diploma in International Relations and Diplomacy and currently pursuing a Bachelors of Art in the same field. Garden of Hope has really provided a space for me to participate in shaping the minds of the future leaders in Kibera through the Mentorship and Counseling Department that I am involved in. I believe the Kenya of tomorrow will be better because of such small but yet important work that we do.
